What it is

ATMOS is a blockchain-powered carbon credit marketplace designed to make carbon markets transparent, accessible, and efficient.

Today’s carbon credit ecosystem is fragmented across registries, brokers, and opaque trading systems. Companies struggle to track emissions, verify offsets, and purchase reliable carbon credits. Meanwhile individuals and investors have limited access to participate in climate markets.

ATMOS solves this by creating a decentralized carbon credit infrastructure where organizations and individuals can seamlessly track emissions, acquire verified carbon credits, and trade them transparently.

In ATMOS, each carbon credit is tokenized as a Carbon Credit Token (CCT) representing 1 tonne of CO₂ offset. These credits can be stored in a Carbon Wallet, similar to a demat account for financial assets.

Companies can register on the platform, report their emissions, and automatically calculate how many credits are required to achieve carbon neutrality. If credits are available, they can purchase them instantly from the marketplace. If not, they can submit purchase requests or participate in carbon credit auctions launched by project developers.

Chainlink CRE workflows integrate external carbon registry data and pricing feeds into the blockchain, ensuring credits are verified and pricing remains accurate. This allows ATMOS to bridge real-world environmental data with on-chain carbon markets.

By combining blockchain transparency, Chainlink data verification, and tokenized carbon assets, ATMOS transforms carbon markets into an open, programmable, and globally accessible financial system for climate action.

Our mission is to make carbon markets as transparent and accessible as modern financial markets, enabling companies, investors, and governments to accelerate the transition toward net zero emissions.

How it Works

ATMOS is built using a modern Web3 architecture combining blockchain infrastructure, oracle networks, and a full-stack decentralized application.

Chainlink Integration

• Fetch verified carbon credit data from external carbon registries
• Retrieve real-time carbon credit pricing
• Validate emission data submitted by companies
• Trigger automated on-chain settlement after verification

These workflows demonstrate secure off-chain computation and data verification, ensuring carbon credits traded on ATMOS are reliable and tamper-proof.

Carbon Wallet System

Each user receives a Carbon Wallet, where they can hold:

  • USDC (payment token)
  • CCT tokens (carbon credits)
  • NFT credits linked to verified carbon offset projects

Marketplace Infrastructure

ATMOS includes multiple market mechanisms:

  • Spot Marketplace for instant buying and selling
  • Auction system for price discovery
  • Credit request engine for buyers to request credits when supply is low

This architecture enables a fully transparent carbon economy on-chain.
