Onchain vehicle price protection with Chainlink CRE, NFTs, and automated payouts

What it is

AutoShield is an onchain parametric insurance system for vehicle price protection. We use Chainlink CRE workflows to fetch real-world vehicle pricing data from MarketCheck, publish it to a Sepolia oracle contract, and power NFT-backed protection policies that can automatically settle in MockUSDC when vehicle prices fall below user-defined floors. The project combines external data, onchain automation, and tokenized policy logic to bring transparent, programmable insurance to a market that still relies on slow and opaque manual valuation.

How it Works

The stack combines Chainlink CRE, Solidity, Foundry, Next.js, wagmi, RainbowKit, and MarketCheck. Our Chainlink CRE workflows integrate Sepolia smart contracts with an external real-world data source, MarketCheck, and we demonstrate successful workflow simulation and deployed onchain updates as part of the app. The oracle workflow writes onchain PriceReport data, the insurance workflow updates tracked prices and can initiate policy payout checks, the policy engine handles NFT-based insurance state, and the vault layer settles claims in MockUSDC. Our frontend consumes the same feed catalog used by the oracle and provides a full user flow from quote to active policy monitoring.
