What it is

What is it? MindChain CRE is a next-generation "AI-as-a-Service" platform that leverages the Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE) to bridge high-performance AI models (like Gemini) with secure, on-chain execution. It allows users to access sophisticated AI Chat and Vision (MNIST) services through a decentralized, pay-per-use model.
How it works:

  1. User Interaction: Users interact with a premium Next.js frontend, initiating requests.
  2. On-Chain Settlement (x402): Every AI request is backed by a USDC payment on Base Sepolia, recorded in our PaymentGateway contract.
  3. Secure Orchestration (CRE): Our backend API performs a strict on-chain verification (checking transaction freshness and ownership) before triggering the Chainlink CRE Workflow.
  4. AI Generation: The CRE Workflow securely fetches AI responses using Gemini Pro via HTTP capabilities, ensuring the "Brain" of the project is decentralized and verified.
    What problem it solves: Currently, AI services are either centralized (closed boxes) or fully on-chain (slow and expensive). MindChain CRE solves this "Oracle Problem for AI" by using CRE to perform heavy AI lifting off-chain while keeping the logic, identity, and payments strictly on-chain and verifiable.

How it Works

  • Blockchain: Base Sepolia Network.
  • AI Infrastructure: Chainlink CRE (Runtime Environment) for secure orchestration.
  • AI Model: Google Gemini Pro (accessed via CRE HTTP Capabilities).
  • Frontend: Next.js, Tailwind CSS, Wagmi/Viem for Web3 interactions.
  • Smart Contracts: Solidity (OpenZeppelin) for Payment Gateway and Reputation Registry.
  • Payment Protocol: x402 Protocol for linking on-chain payments directly to AI compute requests.
