SCO60-CRE: Automated Basel III Crypto-Exposure Monitoring
A real-time regulatory compliance engine using Chainlink CRE to monitor institutional cryptoasset exposure under Basel III SCO 60 rules.
Risk & Compliance
What it is
SCO60-CRE is a comprehensive supervisory platform designed to automate the monitoring of institutional cryptoasset exposure, ensuring compliance with Basel III SCO 60 standards.
- What it is: A full-stack regulatory solution that integrates Chainlink CRE workflows with a risk engine to track and classify crypto-assets (Group 1a/1b/2a/2b).
- How it works: The system uses Chainlink CRE as an orchestration layer to trigger hourly checks or respond to on-chain events. It fetches real-time prices via CoinGecko, calculates Risk-Weighted Assets (RWA), and utilizes Google Gemini 2.0 Flash to generate AI-powered regulatory advisory reports.
- Problems solved: It solves the complexity of manual regulatory reporting and the "lag" in risk assessment. Automating exposure calculations against soft (1%) and hard (2%) caps, it provides regulators with real-time visibility into institutional risk and capital adequacy.
How it Works
The project features a modular architecture:
- Chainlink CRE Workflow: Built using Golang, implementing Cron and Log triggers for continuous monitoring.
- Backend: A Go-based API server (Gin) managing the SCO 60 engine, stress testing, and PostgreSQL database.
- Smart Contracts: Developed in Solidity (ExposureOracle.sol and RiskAlertManager.sol) to store exposure results and manage risk alerts on-chain.
- Frontend: A React + Tailwind dashboard providing a glassmorphism UI for regulators to visualize institutional health and stress test results.
- AI Integration: Integrated Gemini 2.0 Flash for automated risk assessment recommendations.
