The Valley

A cross-chain Social GameFi ecosystem blending AI education, virtual farming, and real-world rewards.

What it is

What it is: The Valley is a comprehensive Web3 ecosystem that seamlessly combines virtual gardening, AI-powered education, community building, and cross-chain mechanics into a unified GameFi experience with tangible real-world ("phygital") utility.
How it works: The core gameplay loop centers around a time-bound virtual ecology system. Users plant digital seeds that require social interactions (friends watering plants) to grow through stages (Seed → Sprout → Bloom → Fruit) before they wilt. Harvested resources can be used to mint NFTs, trade in the in-game shop, or redeem actual physical items (like merchandise or tech gear) via our Phygital Exchange.
Beyond gaming, The Valley features an AI-Powered Classroom (driven by Gemini 2.5 Flash) where users complete educational quests. These achievements are codified on-chain via a "University Search Engine" (USC) Reputation smart contract. The platform also integrates geolocation-based "Event Check-ins," rewarding users for attending IRL tech and Web3 events.
Crucially, users navigate this multi-chain world utilizing our "Anywhere Door"—a Chainlink-powered interoperability engine that allows seamless bridging of assets and data state across networks like Arbitrum, Base, and Creditcoin.
The Problem it solves: Modern GameFi suffers from extreme isolation, lack of real-world utility, and cross-chain fragmentation. The Valley solves this by intrinsically linking digital progression to real-world networking (IRL check-ins), tangible impact (physical reward redemptions), and self-improvement (AI learning quests), all while completely abstracting away the friction of multi-chain routing from the end user.

How it Works

Our architecture is split into a robust enterprise backend, dynamic smart contracts, and decentralized oracle networks:

  • Backend Ecosystem: Built utilizing NestJS & TypeScript, backed by PostgreSQL (Supabase) via Prisma ORM. We implement Redis and Bull Queues for event-driven, time-sensitive game mechanics (like plant wilting cycles) and rate limiting.
  • Smart Contracts: Developed using Foundry, our suite of contracts (FriendCards, CyberCatEngine, QuestPaymaster, and USC Reputation) is deployed natively across Arbitrum Sepolia and the Creditcoin Testnet.
  • AI & Social Layers: We integrated Gemini 2.5 Flash for our AI Mentor system and interface with the FundX API macro-service for geolocation-based real-world event verification.
  • ⛓️ Chainlink Integration: The crown jewel of our cross-chain functionality is the "Anywhere Door" Routing Engine. It utilizes an HTTP-triggered Chainlink Decentralized Oracle Network (DON) workflow. When a user requests to jump chains, our Chainlink DON queries the external Li.Fi API for route consensus, validates maximum gas and strict slippage parameters, and then uses runtime.report() to securely and cryptographically sign the bridging instructions. These signed instructions are then broadcast to our AnywhereDoorReceiver contracts on the destination chain.
