Anyone from anywhere in the world can participate. However, participants that break the Rules or Code of Conduct may be expelled.
External websites used as part of Constellation may also have various country-specific limitations. You can find more information by reading the rules and regulations on Devpost, our project submission platform, once it’s live.
There is no cost. Attendance is free for all participants.
1-5 people per team.
No worries! It’s helpful to have some software engineering experience, but it’s not a requirement. Projects often need designers, frontend engineers, project managers, and more. We will also have talks, workshops, and mentors to help you with your project. This is a great place to learn about all things blockchains and smart contracts.
This event takes place online. Hackathon discussions and support take place on Discord, workshops can be attended on YouTube, and projects are submitted through Devpost.
As soon as the hackathon opens on November 8. To keep the playing field fair, we don’t allow teams to begin building prior to the start of the hackathon. If your project is an upgrade to an existing project, please check with us beforehand.
Each team member should register individually on the hackathon website and Devpost (once the page is live). You can add your team members in the “manage teammates” section when submitting your project on the Devpost hackathon page.
Projects that were not built at the hackathon are not eligible to receive a prize. This includes projects that were built before the hackathon and projects that were submitted to past hackathons. We work closely with our partners and sponsors to filter out these projects.
Projects are not required to have a frontend. Remix is fine.
No, localhost is fine. All you need is a live demo.
The video needs to be less than five minutes. We suggest you try to edit it down further.
No. We need a video, even if it’s just a recording of you talking.
Yes, if modified before the submission deadline (December 10).
The team behind each projects holds the IP of the projects.
Yes. Please take note that we reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to withhold the distribution of prizes to recipients based on the results of Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures.
No, we will only distribute SWAG to teams that submit a valid project. This means your project must use Chainlink in some form to make a state change on a blockchain, otherwise it will not be eligible. A front end simply reading from Chainlink data feeds doesn't count.
(some exceptions may exist pending on sponsors, but it will on a case by case basis)
Yes, you can apply to multiple tracks but ensure that each application is well-suited for the specific track you are applying to. Additionally, please note that a project can only win up to one (1) Chainlink Prize and one (1) Bonus/Sponsor Prize.
