Introducing Chainlink CustodySync: Connecting Institutional Capital to DeFi Lending Markets

Chainlink CustodySync is a new solution that keeps a qualified custodian’s existing systems and DeFi lending markets in sync across the full lifecycle of a loan, from deposit and borrowing through repayment and liquidation. CustodySync enables the qualified custodian to retain control of its clients’ digital assets, with both the custodian and the lending market acting on the same verified data delivered by Chainlink.

CustodySync goes live with Anchorage Digital Bank, N.A. as the official launch partner. Anchorage Digital's custodial infrastructure and its Atlas Collateral Management product work in tandem with lending protocols, providing borrowers the institutional tri-party framework they are accustomed to while facilitating core functions on behalf of protocols as their appointed collateral agent.

CustodySync coordinates two independent systems: a qualified custodian's collateral management system, which remains the source of truth for collateral balances, and an onchain lending market, which provides liquidity. CustodySync keeps the two systems in sync at every stage.

CustodySync combines multiple components of the broader Chainlink platform into a single solution, including the Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE), Data Feeds, Data Streams, and Proof of Reserve, to turn passive capital into productive capital by letting institutions borrow against custodied assets that would otherwise sit idle.

Introducing Chainlink 24/7: Always-On Markets for Real-World Assets

Launched at Link:NYC, Chainlink 24/7 delivers market data for equities, commodities, and other real-world assets around the clock, unlocking always-on markets for onchain finance across every trading session, weekend, and holiday.

Aave, the largest DeFi lending market with over $34 billion in total value secured (TVL), is actively adopting Chainlink 24/7 to securely manage collateral around the clock.

Chainlink 24/7 is delivered through Data Feeds and Data Streams, built on Chainlink’s industry-standard decentralized oracle infrastructure that secures ~70% of DeFi, powers over 80% of lending markets on Ethereum and Solana, supports over 81% of tokenized RWA value, and has enabled over $1 trillion in perpetuals trading volume in 2026. This battle-tested infrastructure has proven secure and reliable during the most extreme market volatility, blockchain network congestion, and major cloud infrastructure outages.

Tokenized assets, prediction markets, and perpetual futures now have robust real-time pricing to support 24/7 trading and settlement, while lending protocols can value tokenized collateral after traditional markets close, expanding when investors can put their capital to work. Developers no longer need to pause weekend markets, manage the complexity of multiple feeds, or build custom switching logic. Chainlink 24/7 provides one continuous, unified pricing reference per asset.

Chainlink Adoption With S&P Global Ratings, LG CNS, and More

Chainlink Expands Collaboration With S&P Global Ratings To Bring Vault Risk Assessments Onchain

Chainlink expanded its collaboration with S&P Global Ratings by making the firm's Vault Risk Assessment (VRA) data available onchain. Now live on Base, the integration gives institutions and DeFi platforms direct access to independent vault risk analysis onchain, enabling users to evaluate risk where they deploy capital and bringing greater transparency to the $10 billion lending vault market.

The integration leverages DataLink, an institutional-grade data publishing service, with CRE orchestrating the retrieval of S&P Global Ratings' assessment data and its publication onchain. A Chainlink decentralized oracle network retrieves the source data, reaches consensus on the reported values, and delivers them onchain.

This live integration expands Chainlink’s existing collaboration with S&P Global Ratings, which previously brought its Stablecoin Stability Assessments onchain.

OpenZeppelin Embeds Chainlink Into Its Tooling Standard Behind $38+ Trillion in Transferred Value

OpenZeppelin, which S&P Global agreed to acquire, has embedded Chainlink into its tooling standard used by the vast majority of the industry, including BlackRock, WisdomTree, Franklin Templeton, and more.

Developers now access Chainlink infrastructure inside the OpenZeppelin tools they already use:

  • CRE for orchestration and applicable Defender migrations
  • CCIP for secure cross-chain token deployment
  • ACE for programmable compliance
"OpenZeppelin and Chainlink each set a standard: we secure how onchain systems are developed, and Chainlink connects them to the data, chains, privacy, compliance and orchestration they depend on to securely scale. Embedding CRE, CCIP, and ACE natively into the OpenZeppelin development flow gives developers and institutions a clearer path from design to deployment, from tokenized assets and compliant financial products to entirely new onchain markets." — Jonathan Alexander, CTO, OpenZeppelin

Archax Adopts Chainlink To Scale Its Tokenized Treasury Product Across Institutional Markets

Archax, the UK's first FCA-regulated digital asset platform, has adopted Chainlink to make GOVY, its 24/7, auto-rolling U.S. tokenized Treasury product, usable across institutional markets.

GOVY offers institutional holders 1:1 regulated custody, 24/7 instant settlement, and frictionless redemption. As each T-Bill matures, it is automatically replaced, providing continuous Treasury exposure without the need for manual reinvestment.

Data Streams provides reliable, low-latency pricing data that enables institutions to turn GOVY into programmable, productive collateral by unlocking:

  • Treasury holdings as productive collateral
  • Automated treasury and collateral management strategies
  • Greater capital efficiency across lending and trading
  • Reduced operational friction of integrating real-world assets

With more than $15 billion in distributed value across tokenized U.S. Treasuries, the market’s next phase is not simply bringing Treasuries onchain, but making them productive and programmable. Chainlink provides the critical data infrastructure needed to make that possible and bring all the world’s assets onchain.
